9/2 (Thursday) "Coping with Pet Loss" Session
Big Bend Hospice is providing assistance to owners who are
grieving the loss of a pet. A group session will be held from 6:00pm
until 7:30pm at The Big Bend Hospice office, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd.

9/4 (Saturday) Dog Wash-Gadsden County H.S.
The Gadsden
County Humane Society will hold a dog wash fundraiser from
9am to 1pm. It will be held at the
First Presbyterian
Church, 213 N.E. 1st Street, in Havana. The
suggested donation will be $10 for large dogs and $5 for
small dogs. All proceeds will benefit the care of the over
120 foster animals in our program.

are available for adoption from the Tallahassee Animal Service
Center, The Leon County Humane Society, Birdland and other local
animal rescue groups. The event is held every Saturday from 9am
until 2pm, March through November (Park Ave and Monroe Street,
downtown Tallahassee), and also features a local farmer's market,
great food, cut flowers and native plants, crafts, regional artists,
children's activities and entertainment.

Birdland will be showcasing some of their
exotic birds at Tallahassee's Downtown Marketplace from 9am until
2pm, March thru November. The Marketplace is located at Monroe Street and

Classes for adult dogs and puppies, aimed at helping your
four-legged friend become a well-adjusted member of your family.
Puppies 8 weeks to 4-1/2 months (at beginning of class). 7 weeks of
one-hour sessions. Proof of up-to-date vaccinations required.
Dogs 4-1/2 months and older (at beginning of class). 6 weeks of
one-hour sessions. Proof of up-to-date vaccinations required.
